What this screen is

This is your application. Nine guided steps — you can save and come back, and AI has prefilled what we already know about you. At the end, you eSign and submit. We notify you the moment a reviewer touches it.

The institutional client wizard, branched by account type at Step 1. Every field maps to a documented regulatory requirement. Conditional logic from the Admin Console controls what appears.

Renders STEPS[] array from the published config. Selections are persisted per-step to onboarding_drafts. KYC dispatches to Hyperverge. eSign dispatches to CleverAlpha's eSign engine.

Account Type — Pro Trader / Hedge / Intro BD / Retail (Retail forks to a separate wizard)
Personal Information — legal name, identity, AI-prefilled
Employment & Financial Profile — FINRA-required
Trading Experience — options eligibility, margin eligibility
Identity Verification (KYC) — Hyperverge in-browser
Tax Certification — W-9 (US) or W-8 (foreign) routing
Regulatory Disclosures — acknowledgments captured per disclosure
eSign Documents — CleverAlpha eSign engine
Confirmation — handoff to compliance review

Why each step exists

FINRA 4512 + FINRA 2090 (Know Your Customer) Steps 2–4 collect the customer information FINRA requires for suitability and trading authorization.

USA PATRIOT Act § 326 (CIP) Step 5 satisfies the Customer Identification Program — name, DOB, address, ID number, plus identity verification.

IRS § 1441 / FATCA Step 6 routes US persons to W-9 and foreign persons to W-8 (BEN / BEN-E / ECI / EXP / IMY) — delegated to velocity-w8w9.

Reg BI · Disclosure Obligation Step 7 captures explicit acknowledgment of regulatory disclosures, time-stamped per disclosure.
